Video Laryngoscopy

Endoscopic Examination and recording of your Larynx and Pharynx to diagnose variety of voice and Swallowing disorders.

It is a form of indirect laryngoscopy in which visualization of the larynx is performed with a fiberoptic or digital laryngoscope inserted transnasally or transorally.

Indications

• To diagnose various conditions of larynx (such as vocal cord polyps, nodules, cysts and cancer), laryngopharynx and base tongue.
• To visualize and remove foreign bodies fromvallecula base tongue.
• Important in diagnosis of snoring and sleep apnoea.
• Pre operative evaluation of difficult airway.
• Post operative examination after laryngeal and vocal cord surgeries.
